Proposal Process

Diamonde DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization that aims to allow community members to participate in the decision-making of the platform. By submitting proposals, community members can express their opinions on key issues such as Diamonde's future development direction, function optimization, and resource allocation, and jointly promote implementation.

Phase 1:

Any community member can propose ideas for improvements to Diamonde, including protocol upgrades, new feature suggestions, funding allocations, or collaboration proposals.

In this initial phase, the author seeks community feedback on their concepts. Unique ideas can be tagged with #idea on the Diamonde governance forum, where they will have a dedicated discussion topic.

Proposals are usually brainstormed informally in environments such as Discord chats or Telegram groups. This stage may involve obtaining community approval for future Request for Comments (RFC) specifications through multiple Telegram polls.

Duration: Open

Phase 2: Solicitation

At this stage, proposal authors can shape their ideas into a Request for Comments (RFC) using the template provided (link awaiting DAO approval), formally seeking community input.

Throughout the RFC drafting process, authors need to incorporate community feedback and refine the proposal accordingly. The draft RFC status is intended to accumulate enough feedback and buy-in to build soft consensus to be able to progress toward a formal proposal and reduce the risk of immediate rejection.

Proposal Format:

  • Summary

  • Motivation

  • Rationale

  • Specifications

  • Conclusion

Duration: Open

Phase 3: Snapshot

Snapshot allows flexibility in voting options which is not possible in Tally.

Snapshot voting rights are based on token balances, which can cover a larger proportion of the Diamonde community.

Voting mechanism: Simple majority (requires 50% + 1 of the minimum token unit)

  • Number of participants: Global AMD to governance members

  • Minimum token required to submit a proposal: AMD

  • Amount of AMD: Value demand

  • Voting period: 5 days

After a proposal is submitted, community members can review the proposal content and provide feedback through the forum or comment area.

Based on community feedback, the proposal initiator can optimize and revise the proposal to ensure that the proposal is more feasible and has more community support.

If the vote on Snapshot passes and the Diamonde DAO representative objects to the vote, the representative should initiate a veto proposal on Tally as soon as possible.

Phase 4: GIP

If on-chain transactions are required, the GIP proposal can be submitted to the governance platform Tally for execution.

GIP proposals should include a title, a clear description of the proposed action, and consider the following criteria:

  • Voting mechanism: Qualified majority (60% + 1 minimum token unit)

  • Quorum: Click to view Tally

  • Token for submitting proposals: AMD

  • Voting period length: 5 days

  • Execution period: 48 hours

  • Cooling time: None

If necessary, the minimum number of tokens required to propose a GIP can be increased based on voter turnover and the total voting power of the DAO.

Subsequent implementation of a proposal that has already been approved at a Snapshot can be done without a new Snapshot vote.

Diamonde DAO representatives on Tally should vote “yes” on proposals that have passed the Snapshot vote, unless there is a veto proposal or there is a particularly strong reason to oppose the Tally proposal.

Implementation and follow-up

On-chain execution: approved proposals will be automatically executed by smart contracts or implemented by designated teams and resources.

Progress tracking: Regularly update the implementation progress of proposals through the DAO platform to ensure transparency and community supervision.

Result evaluation: After implementation, review the actual effect of the proposal, summarize experience and optimize future governance processes.

The governance mechanism of Diamonde DAO is centered on decentralization, transparency and community-driven. Every member can contribute to the future of Diamonde through proposals and voting, truly realizing the community vision of "co-construction, co-governance and sharing".
